Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Louis Vuitton

Penguin Random House and Louis Vuitton created this book to celebrate their collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.

The book is inspired by Kusama’s symbolic polka dots. Aside from silkscreen and die-cut production methods, the three-fold cover uses three different materials, including a paper that resembles the Louis Vuitton paper bag, and also a canvas material. The latter depicts the art canvas that Kusama uses for her drawings.

The original book sold for £2500 in line with the artist’s retrospect at the Tate Modern.
